A limited edition Pablo Picasso white earthenware vase painted in white, grey and black with impressed marks for Madoura, 38cm high. Picasso worked at Madoura in the South of France. He commissioned Georges and Suzanne Ramie to reproduce his designs in the 1950s. The vase represents a female figure in Picasso's typical abstract style. The vase was previously owned by Sir Emile Littler, (Emile Richeux), the 20th Century British theatrical impresario (condition: No damage or restoration)
