Famous Personalities Signed Letters To Geoff Hurst: For the 30th Anniversary of Englands World Cup triumph of 1966 Geoff Hurst wrote to famous personalities to ask the question "Where were you when the 4th goal went in ?" which was going to be the title of the book in 1996. The book which I guess for any budding entrepreneur could still be written although with Euro 96 round the corner the publishers were too busy. Ten years later Geoff was approached to do a book about 1966 and some of these letters were used. There are over 70 letters with lots of autographs often with their recollections of the famous moment. A full list can be emailed by contacting Football Wanted. Personalities include Michael Aspel, Tony Blackburn, Dickie Bird, Richard Diagents, John Francombe, Jimmy Hill, Lulu, Bernard Manning, Tina Moore, Bill Oddie, Peter Purvis, John Peel, William Roache, Harry Seacombe, Jackie Stewart, Freddy Trueman, Terry Wogan and many others with secretaries responding for Prince Charles, Britt Ekland, Lady Thatcher, Downing Street and a very interesting one from Jimmy Saville. Rare chance for autograph collector or potential book writer.
