Jaguar MK2 2.4 Manual 1969 "Low Miles" - Needing no introduction is this lovely 1969 Jaguar MK2, with its shape being instantly recognised as one of the most popular and sought after cars of its Era. Unusual in its day for being favoured by both "Cops and Robbers" and made famous through the years by their many TV appearances.
This particular example is powered by Jags smooth 2483cc engine coupled to a manual gearbox, both of which are described as being "In fine fettle" hardly surprising as over the years this car has been fully restored and has only covered a fully documented 64000 miles!
With the car is a massive file of invoices for the work carried out over the years including photos showing the work done underneath on the suspension etc, showing things like the new bushes being fitted through out and is complete with the original log book. With the restoration having been carried out over time and while still in very good order, there are a couple of small blemishes to the bodywork but nothing that detracts from its appearance and with its deep shine to the paint and chrome, this car presents very well.
The lovely red leather and wood interior is in very good order and correct right down to its period radio, contrasting superbly against the dark blue exterior. These cars are really a very nice place to spend time in, truly representing the quality that Jaguar of that time were famous for, just a great blend of comfort and functionality. With this in mind you can understand just why they are so sought after on todays market.
Prices continue to climb as both enthusiasts and collectors fight over nice examples but with the sensible reserve the vendor has set on this car both, will have an opportunity to own it. Currently MOTd through to November and being described as very good throughout, complete with its orriginal log book.
