Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Sport 1988 - Needing no introduction this lovely Porsche 911 is in very good condition, its body having received a repaint at some point and now having no more than a couple of minor faults. There is just something so evocative about this shape with its large rear spoiler and low stance. This particular car has "RS Style" colour matched front and rear bumpers but the vendor has the originals if preferred and these will be included in the sale at no extra cost ( collection to be arranged separately), these along with the Fuch alloy wheels add to the overall look of the car.
Interior condition is good with the two tone leather bucket seats in good order. If being really critical (which the vendor is) the carpets are showing signs of wear and if he were keeping it he personally would replace them, but they are still very serviceable. The rear seat back rest pads, for what they are worth, are missing. Not that you can get in the back unless you are a "small" person.
Mechanically it is all good news. With only an average 159K on the clock and a full Porsche and Porsche Specialist history up to 105K , then more stamps at 157K , the 3.2 Litre engine in the back still "pulls like a train" and puts a grin on your face every time you get he chance to use it "properly". No need to rev the hell out of it, just loads of "grunt" in all the gears and that engine noise peculiar to Porsches famous Flat 6 engine. All helped by this being a late model car so has the later "G50" 5 speed box , so giving a more precise gear change.
The vendor does bring to our attention that all electrics including the front seat adjustment and electric roof etc work but at the moment the electric adjustment on the mirrors has stopped functioning "O" and for the purists, they are actually later 993 Mirrors. He would not be selling the car, but having only covered 2000 miles in the 3 years he has owned it and it sits blocking up the garage, the wife and kids have won the argument and its time for someone else to enjoy the car.
It comes with the history already mentioned, a file of receipts and invoices and is currently MOTd until May 2017. Offered with a very reasonable reserve so making it a rare opportunity to buy one of Porsches finest thats ready to go at an affordable price.
NOTE: The vendor has said he will be getting an oil and filter change, plus a check over, prior to selling the car to be sure all is good for the next owner.
