WITHDRAWN - Massey Ferguson MF1505 "Twin Turbo V8" 1978 - Well as we have said many a time, here at ECCA we like to be different!! This very rare MF 1505 tractor is very sought after by collectors of agricultural Tractors and Machinery. Bought new in 1978 by an Essex farm then sold to the current owner/farmers father in 1984, the vendor spent his formative years in this tractor, hours on end with just him and his father in the cab. His father has now passed and although he planned to keep and restore it himself, he realises that on a busy farm this is just not going to happen so it is with a heavy heart he has decided to offer it for auction, rather than leaving it standing and deteriorating in front of his eyes. Having only gone into retirement a few years back so according to him, with a battery it will fire into life again. It was fully operational right up to its replacement by a much more modern John Deere unit (yes easier to use and more productive, but just not as much fun apparently!!). The power plant is a Caterpillar V8 displacing 636 Cubic inchs so about 10.5 Litres and in standard trim put out apx.174HP but while in the vendors family the twin turbo conversion was fitted giving it more like 220 HP. In the past Tractor enthusiasts have turned up at harvest time just to hear it working! Obviously it is offered as a NON FUNCTIONING tractor, it is NOT fit to be worked without restoring and recommissioning and as such is offered as a Restoration Project. With its size etc it WILL NOT be present at our auction site but can be viewed by arrangement prior to the auction just outside of Rayleigh in Essex.
