Audi V8 "Quattro" Automatic 1990 - With less than 200 in total imported into the UK and now only 11 registered as "on the road", this superb late 80s icon from Audi is now a very rare sight on our roads especially in this condition. This is the car that Audi based their very successful entry into the DTM (German Touring Car) winning over 50% of the races in the 91/92 seasons and helping them to the title in both years. Helped predominately by their legendary "Quattro" 4 Wheel drive system.
This particular car may have 154K on the clock but its galvanised steel body work which benefited from a refresh on the paint a couple of years ago, is still very good and rare in the metallic black colour. Its fully optioned as standard, black leather interior is excellent and you can understand why this was Audis flagship motor car of the time.
Mechanically this car is also excellent with its 250 Horse Power 3.6 Litre multi valve quad cam engine still giving this large Saloon car the sort of performance that embarrasses many more modern cars. Being the 3.6 rather than the later 4.2 also has the advantage of running on normal unleaded rather that the premium fuel the larger capacity engine demands. Then chuck in what is probably the best 4 Wheel Drive system you can get you can understand why these cars are so sought after today.
Bought by the vendor in 2015 from a friend that was reducing his collection of over 100 cars, who in turn had had it for nearly 10 years. It will come with an MOT until August 2017 (Previous MOT was in 2007 and all it failed on first time round was its horn not working) There is history up to 102000 miles and in our opinion represents just a whole lot of motor car for not a lot of money!
