Mitsubishi FTO GPX "Mivec" Tiptronic 1995 - Having only had two owners since arriving here in the UK in 1997 this lovely condition "Sports Coupe" has still only got just over 119000 Kms on the clock (73000 miles) and comes with loads of history and old MOTs to back this up. The body work is very good and still in its original and rare to find black paint with the correct graphics in place. There is no rust or signs of repair just a nice deep shine from years of being looked after and polished. Its under the bonnet where the fun is though, here you will find the "GPX" variant of probably one of the sweetest V6 petrol engines made. Mitsubishis V6 24 Valve Double Over Head Camshaft "Mivec" which produces a claimed 200HP at 7500 Rpm. More than enough to give the car shall we say a "spirited" performance especially when coupled to a "tiptronic" auto as this one is. The GPX sensibly also comes with larger brakes than its lower powered siblings and wide alloy wheels, which on this car are in great condition with no kerb marks or corrosion. These cars love the twisty bits that is in no doubt, but they are also more than happy on a motorway or in town traffic. Click the gearbox back over to full auto, switch the air con on and enjoy. Interior is all good and comes fully optioned with power windows, door locks and electrically adjusted door mirrors that also fold at the press of a button. The heating and ventilation is a full climate control system. Seats are fully adjustable sports type in the front and there is room in the back for two kids or smaller adults. Mechanically everything is stated to be very good and there is a current MOT through till September so it is ready to go. With the classic car market now viewing Japanese cars as "proper" classics it is hardly surprising that a lovely sporting coupe like this, when in this condition and spec, are becoming sought after. Good looks, stunning reliability, excellent road holding and performance, what is there not to like?
