Audi S8 Quattro 1999 - A rare enough sight on our roads at any time, this striking 1999 Audi S8 Quattro is thought to be the only genuine S8 in the UK in this colour! Having been meticulously maintained and kept in excellent all round order by its current owner who has owned it since 2004.
The aluminium body work is obviously rust free and in very good order with only the odd and very minor marks, but these have to be looked for and are hardly noticeable. Its contrasting coloured alloys are in good order and will be receiving four new tyres prior to auction for its new mot. Although to be honest the tyres that are currently fitted would pass an MOT, but the vendor wants to fit new ones so the next owner will receive the car in the best condition he can make it for them.
Interior is in very good condition with only minor fading present on the drivers seat side bolster, no tears or rips though and the whole interior has a real luxury feel to it, very well equipped and with what was a first for Audi, a dash mounted built in Sat Nav system. Coming loaded with all the standard top of the range options the A8 had, the S8 gained extras like 14-way power adjustable and heated sports front seats with memory function and heated rear seats. While being trimmed throughout in leather and alcantara.
With 186K miles on the clock the big V8 up front is just about run in and is described as Stonking pulling from any speed with a seamless power delivery, with the Tip Tronic equipped automatic gearbox giving you the option of manual changes at the touch of a steering wheel mounted button or a flick of the gear lever, if you are in a hurry or just sit back and enjoy in full automatic mode as the scenery slides by. These cars loved to be driven and there are few better for that long promised trip to Europe etc. There is service history up to 89000 in 2002 then various receipts etc as the current owner maintained the car himself.
All in all a whole lot of car in a very rare colour for not a lot of money. The Quattro badge on the back makes it a sure fire investment as it is fast becoming one of the most sought after names by lovers of not just Audis but cars from the 90s.
