Ford Capri 2.8 Injection 1984 Needing no introducing is this very clean two former keeper and ultradesirable 1984 2.8i Capri with only 69000 miles on the clock. It has been part of a private collection and as such according to its MOT history has covered a mere 1600 miles in the last 6 years some years covering only a hundred miles and that includes it annual trip out to the MOT station. In its file are lots of old MOTs old tax discs some receipts and a bill of sale dating from 1986 Appearing to be virtually original on the paint and body just the bonnet a very slight shade out under certain light this Capri is a real survivor in every sense. No big alloys and bolt on nasties on this one just a real clean and straight car. Interior is just as nice and looks in the condition it should be in with such low recorded mileage again very rare to find the grey cloth material with no great sections of wear all very very nice and original apart from a period radio cassette in place of the radio Ford would have fitted. Under the bonnet is more of the same just as Ford intended with no signs of rust to the original top plates and the front slam panel looking like new. Wheels are the original Pepper Pots in excellent order shod with good tyres all round. On the road well its a 2.8i Capri punchy out of the corners still performing as good as or better than a lot of modern cars but with the traction or lack of it we all love. Benefiting from the later 5 speed box which makes good use of the spread of power that venerable V6 under the bonnet gives while that exhaust note makes it impossible not to blip the throttle when in tunnels. These cars really do take you back to your youth. Prices of good Capris just will not stop climbing and they make an excellent car for the collector or enthusiast easy to maintain and supported by a massive network that has grown up looking after this Cult car of the 80s.
