MGB GT LE Roadster 1981 This March 1981 example MGB LE is one of the last 420 Special edition MGs made complete with its gold LE stripes and Triumph Stag looking alloy wheels (only 212 cars were fitted with alloy wheels). Bought by the current owner a couple of years back as a present to him and his wife something they could take a drive in together and enjoy some roof down classic motoring drive to the shows in etc. Like all good plans this never really happened with less than 600 miles covered since 2013 so now its time for it to go to a new owner to use and enjoy.
Prior to his purchase it had been through a body off restoration and is still excellent today just one or two very small areas that might need attention in the near future. Interior wise the standard LE orange and brown striped cloth interior has been tastefully retrimmed into a more subdued black leather with white piping with new carpets throughout all in very good order. Its soft top hood is in good condition and the toneau cover for when its down is with the car again in good condition.
Mechanically the engine runs perfectly. The transmission received a new clutch in 2012 and the over drive function on the manual gearbox functions correctly. The general mechanics of the car are stated to be very good as are the electrics that work as they should. There is a new MOT through to 7th of April 2018 and the car comes with its owners hand book some bills and old MOTs.
Rare on the market and very collectable these LE MGBs are much sought after with prices going up at a rate of knots. This one has been looked after over the years and has a sensible mileage of 95K on the clock and is being offered with a reserve that is more than fair considering its condition so representing a good opportunity to all .
NOTE: More Pictures to Follow.
