A World War One British War Medal awarded to 5222 Pte A Mansell, Essex Regiment, with full copies of papers. Wounded on the 9th June 1917, he was tried by field general court martial on the 7th July 1916 for laying down whilst on listening post duty, he was sentenced to one years hard labour.
