A World War One merchant navy family group of medals and associated naval paperwork relating to the Newport family from Kelvedon, Essex. This interesting includes a Mercantile War Medal in original envelope, with green white and red ribbon, awarded to Hubert F Newport and British War Medal also awarded to Hubert F Newport, issued to The Mercantile Navy, with blue, black white and orange ribbon, also with envelope. Alongside the medals are a range of interesting materials and documents to include a post office savings bank document, photographs, letters memorial cards, a certificate of efficiency for lifeboatman etc.
