An oversized Second World War German pilots Luftwaffe UHR aviators wristwatch, originally worn over the arm of a flying suit. We believe this to have come locally from Little Purls Farm in Great Marstead, Braintree. The plane wreckage this was rescued from is believed to be a Dornier 217 bomber with four crew found deceased after it had crashed. There are details stamped and scribed on both sides of the cases, as pictured. Some provenance provided.
