Jilly Cooper OBE is an English author. She started her career as a journalist before writing several romance novels, the first of which appeared in 1975. She wrote a column in the Sunday Times for over 13 years in which she wrote about marriage, sex and housework. She is most famous for writing the long novels The Rutshire Chronicles, stories of which heavily feature adultery, infidelity and betrayal in the glamorous worlds of show jumping or classical music.
