From the estate of Maharaja Bahadur of Burdwan" refered to as Sir Bijay Chand Mahtab (1881���1941), gifted to the vendors mother from the Maharaja of Burdwan in 1940 - (see attached gift card ). She said she'd admired it hanging on the wall at his Palace Residence - she first visited there early/mid 1930s. Whilst living, working near by and then married in India and became close to the Maharaja and his family until his death.
