Overprinted Greece, serial number 39 Z 000042, "GREECE" Overprint Great Britain British Military Authority 1 pound note ND (1943-45). (Estimated 65 Gem Uncirculated). The BMA issue with the "GREECE" overprint is one that all serious military collectors desire. All of the overprinted notes were serial numbered sequentially in the above order and come from the 39Z prefix.
