Jaguar Sovereign 4.0Litre 1995 When our member of staff returned from collecting this very nice 4 litre 1995 Jaguar Sovereign he said Something is not right about that Jaguar? I am driving down the road thinking how lovely the interior is and how the drivers seat is in unusually good condition none of the usual wear evident on the side bolster when I glanced at the odometer thought it said 80000 and was shocked to realise it said 180000! Sold new by Dutton Forshaw they serviced it 7 times through to 1999 at 69806. Then an independent Jag dealer took over for the next 5 2005 115189 miles lastly a further independent did the next 7 services up to 2012 and 166837 miles which is the last service recorded in the book All three of these companies were in the same locality so the mileage would appear to be correct. In its service history box is a good couple of inches of bills documenting the thousands spent on the maintenance of the car and a copy of the advert the car was sold again by Dutton Forshaw in 1998 for 22500. The thing we have had bought tour attention is that when viewing the DVLA history of the car the recorded mileage bounces all over the place up and down. We assume that the car was suffering at some point with the common fault of a poor speedo sensor? We have bought this to you attention as requested. The car itself drives very well with no vices shown over a half an hour 25 mile journey down dual carriage way and queuing traffic. It is the twin air bag model with ABS and being a Sovereign is fully loaded. The engine is very quiet and smooth good oil pressure and water temp as it should be. The 4 speed automatic gearbox with Sport mode option changes very nicely so both engine and gearbox are described as very good. The rare Topaz coloured exterior is in very good condition a few minor marks here and there but very presentable. The alloy wheels are good but their center caps are missing. The interior we have talked about but worth mentioning that the common fault of the roof lining sagging is not evident in this car. Apart from the service history and bills in the box is also a full set of owners books including the salesman that sold it when new business card and the plastic radio security card all in the original leather wallet. Plus old MOTs and some old tax discs as well as the current MOT until 26th June 2017. A whole lot of car with a personal plate thrown in.
