Lot number: 214
Jeep Cherokee LTD in a rare colour 1998 This 1998 Jeep Cherokee has just had a small fortune spent on it. Primarily to bring it back to MOT standards not that it was particularly poor but a full set of tyres a new radiator and a new heater matrix plus all the fitting charges do not come cheap. Now still with only 125K miles on the clock it is ready to go.
These earlier model Jeeps with their much more utility look to them have always been popular compared to the later more rounded shape models. Partly for the rugged looks partly because they are a very good off roader.
The body work on this one does not look like its ever been on any surface that was not flat and black (its never been to Southend then? The land of the pot hole where the roads are rougher than your average field!) It presents very well in this unusual red colour with colour coded bumpers wheel arch extensions and side mouldings. The attractive alloy wheels complete with quality tyres all round are in good condition.
Inside you will find a very nice and highly optioned interior the grey leather seating set off by the wood trims on the doors and dash. All in good condition. Electrically these LTD variants have all the toys which the vendor says are working.
The 4 litre straight six engine and automatic gearbox that are fitted to these cars are legendary for being strong units not particularly powerful but bags of low down torque more than capable of doing the job with the least amount of fuss. The units in this car are no different with the vendor reports that the engine gearbox general mechanics and electrics are all good.
The car has a current MOT until the end of October and comes with good history and all its owners books and guides. A very nice looking 4_4 all round.
