A well detailed Russian solid silver figure of a standing dog, with flower hair and ruby cabochon set eyes, bearing Kokoshnik mark for 1908-1917 and 84 silver purity. I.P. Cyrillic makers mark for work master Julius Rappaport who in 1895 became head silversmith for Faberge and his most important supplier of silver objects. Known for his naturalist silver animals with commissions for Royal and Imperial families. Length: 2 1/2'', WeighT: 111g approx.
